5% Off eBay Gift Card Plus Stackable Savings

Gift Card Mall via eBay is selling $100 physical eBay gift cards for $95 with a limit of 1 per eBay user id. While this is only a 5% discount, the card can be used later to save on other gift cards or merchandise on eBay.

As I wrote last week, you may also be able to earn 5X Ultimate Rewards points by paying with your Chase Ink card and several portals are paying back 1.5% in cash back. Unfortunately the purchase of eBay gift cards does not earn eBay Bucks, but you will earn eBay Bucks when you redeem the gift card to purchase something else.

There have been number of good merchant gift card deals lately and I am sure more will come around soon. A good example of a deal this card would have worked well with is the recent Staples $100 gift card deal that I wrote about in detail.

One other factor that I like about this sale is that you get a physical gift card. I find physical gift cards are easier to keep track of, since I put them in my credit card binder in their own separate section. Finally, deals like this tend to sell out quickly, so keep that in mind. Happy saving!

Update: SVMgiftcards is also selling a $100 ExxonMobil gift card for $90 with a limit of 3. (I don’t have data whether gift cards from this seller earn 5X.)

  1. I made a purchase the other day and it’s showing as utilities category on my ink cc. How do I see if it’s 5% cb? I know it’s a silly question but other than the tag ‘utilities’ I can’t verify.

  2. Can I use my existing eBay gift card to buy Exxon gift card? Was trying to buy Staples card last week but not successful 🙁

  3. At least topcashback portal will not give out cash back for purchase of ‘ebay’ gift cards. I’ve got cash backs for other gift cards purchased through eBay but not ‘ebay’ specific gift cards so no double dipping. YMMV with other cashback portal though.

    Topcashback T&C for ebay
Cash Back is not available within the following categories: eBay Motors (including Vehicles, Motorcycles, Boats, and Powersports; excluding Parts & Accessories), any form of Real Estate, “eBay branded Gift Cards”, Bullion, and Heavy Equipment within the Business & Industrial category.
