Spafinder Amazon Gift Card Deal

Update: The price now has gone up to $120 it seems.

Amazon currently is offering a $100 Spafinder gift card plus a $20 Amazon gift card for $50 total. That is pretty amazing considering most of us already shop at Amazon. To be safe I value the Amazon gift card at 95% of face value to account for the loss of bonus category awards on the purchase. Even so, this amounts to a 69% discount on Spafinder.

Resale Opportunity

If you don’t like Spafinder, then you can always sell the gift card. According to Gift Card Wiki, several resellers will buy it for 60-65% of face value. If you sell it for 65% here is how the math works:

  • Cost: $50
  • Proceeds Received $65
  • Profit: $15 + $20 Amazon gift card

Downside?

The only downside is the limit of 1 per account unfortunately. Both my wife and I purchased one bundle, but now we have to decide whether to sell the cards or actually use them for spa services. I think I know what my wife will say. Decisions decisions! 🙂

  1. Actually you were allowed up to 3 orders per account. I just kept repeating the same order, but on the fourth time it wouldn’t allow it. But I’ll settle for the 3. One of the few times I’ve been in the right place at the right time on these kinds of elusive deals.

  2. Picked up two (wife account as well) and used your link. Like you, it’ll either be resold or find its way into the wife’s or mother-in-law’s hands… Good deal though either way.
