Amex Offer, Save 40% At Carrabba’s

A new Amex Offer surfaced today and it can net you a 40% discount at Carrabba’s. There’s two versions of the offer, on for statement credit and the other for MR points. It’s a targeted offer and I only see it on one of the 7 cards I checked so far.

The Offer

Get 1000 additional Membership Rewards points (or $10 statement credit) one-time by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $25+ in-restaurant at Carrabba’s Italian Grill by 5/31/2017.

Key Terms

  • Offer expires 5/31/2017
  • Valid in-restaurant only. Not valid on online purchases.
  • Excludes airport locations, locations at 3115 Kirby Lane, Houston TX and 1399 South Voss, Houston TX.
  • Excludes deliveries done through third parties.
  • Additional points will be credited to your Program account within 90 days after 5/31/2017.

Reselling

This could be a money maker if you have Carrabba’s locations nearby since the offer is available in-restaurant only and gift cards are not excluded.

You’re buying the gift cards at a 40% discount and you can sell them for 74% of their face value at CardPool or CardKangaroo. That’s a 14% profit. That’s great margins, but we’re talking about small denominations so your profits will be $3.08 per card.

Conclusion

A nice 40% discount if you eat at Carraba’s and even a money making opportunity if you have the offer in lots of cards and have a restaurant nearby.
