Amex Offer $25 Off $100 at Staples
There is a new Amex Offer for Staples that came out last night. It is highly targeted, but very lucrative. The offer is valid through 2/7/15 and gives $25 off of a purchase of $100 or more at Staples.com.
This offer is only avaiable to targeted cardholders via the American Express website. I recommend checking your cards as soon as possible to see if you have been targeted since similar deals have reached the maximum number of registrants pretty quickly in the past.
If you have the offer on more than one card, remember to bring the it up in a separate tab for each card. Clicking “Save Offer” nearly simultaneously will allow you to load the offer to more than one card.
Offer valid online only at staples.com. In-store and phone transactions are excluded. Physical and electronic gift card purchases are not included. Quill, Smilemaker, Staples Business Advantage, Staples Toner Services, Staples Technology Solutions, Staples Promotional Products, Staples Print Solutions, Staples Contract and Commercial, Staples Simplexity and international purchases are excluded from the offer. If you order an item during the offer period but it is not sent to you until after 2/7/15 it may not count towards determining whether your purchase qualifies for the offer. Offer is non-transferable. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express online account. Enrollment limited. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 2/7/15, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled.
Obviously the best use for this is to buy something you actually need at Staples. If you don’t want to buy merchandise, buying a Visa gift card should work as well. While the terms seem to exclude gift cards, I can confirm that purchasing a Visa card triggers the congratulations email.
This is the best Amex Offer we have seen to date for Staples. Out of my family’s 9 cards, we were only targeted on one. While it seems to be highly targeted, being able to buy a Visa card which is easy to liquidate makes this a great deal!
