Update: As of now all known working links for the 20K bonus are dead.

Blue Business Plus 20K Bonus Working App

The American Express Blue Business Plus is one of the more compelling products to launch recently. In a world of complicated credit card benefits and earning structures, it makes things easy. The card works as follows:

  • You don’t pay an annual fee.
  • You earn 2X Membership Rewards points on all purchases up to $50,000 in spend per calendar year. Then you earn 1X afterwards.

When the card launched about a month ago, it had a public bonus of 20,000 Membership Rewards points after $3,000 in spend during the first 3 months. Unfortunately, that public bonus seems to have disappeared. As of now the public bonus is a big fat 0.

Thankfully Doctor of Credit has located a “zombie link” that is still working for the 20K bonus. Zombie links sometimes last a long time and sometimes they get shutdown rather quickly.

The above link is not an affiliate link and will take you directly to the American Express website.

Update 6/28/2017 – New Link

The link posted above has been pulled but there again a new link that can still get you the bonus.

This should be another reminder that Amex will likely remove this bonus soon.

Should You Apply?

While I can’t say whether or not it makes sense for you to apply, I think this card is very compelling and I personally got it within the first week of launch. With 2X everyday earnings it is among my best overall everyday spend cards and I love that it is eligible for Amex Offers as well. Additionally I was able to get the card without a credit check and it won’t show on my personal credit report, which is a plus considering things like the Chase 5/24 rule.

Conclusion

Given the fact that American Express regularly adjusts bonuses, I suspect we will see a public bonus for this card again at some point, but probably not very soon. If you were interested in picking up this card soon, you may want to use the link above to lock-in the 20K bonus.

  1. Sadly, in Chrome on my computer, it’s saying that Amex has closed the connection once I start to fill out the application details.

  2. Link worked for me and bonus confirmed by chat. Shipping in 2 days. One weird thing is that amex would not allow me to register the card to my existing online access, forced to create new amex online log in etc. I don’t know what this means for MR consolidation. I do have business cards registered in my main online page. I really don’t want to call.

    • I had the same issue in regards to online access. Will the points accrued from spend on this card be fully transferable to Transfer Partners?

    • Same here. I just got approved yesterday with that last working link for the signup bonus. They wanted me to create a new login, but I didn’t do anything. I’m planning to wait until the card arrives and try again when I receive and activate it. Hopefully then I can just add it to my current login.

    • I had the same problem. It wouldn’t let me add it to my existing online account. I plan to wait till I receive the card in the mail, and then, I’ll try to add it again.

    • Same here, but I have had that issue with new cards in the past. It can take a few months to get targeted offers to show, but you should have access to add offers via social media from day 1.

  3. looking for DP for anyone who has 5+ lending CCs! please tell me its possible! haha…

man. i hate the amex limit. its like they adopted 5/24 -> 5/Lifetime

  4. Thanks! Grabbed this card today with your link and confirmed with Amex that I would get the sign up bonus. It seems like a great card for everyday spend when no bonus categories apply so I’m glad to get it with the bonus. I’ll probably replace this as my everyday card for business now that SPG’s future seems more and more uncertain.
