CardCash Hyatt Gift Card Sale

CardCash Hyatt Gift Card Sale

One of the best things about Hyatt as a chain has been the ability to obtain their gift cards at a discount in order to save on stays. Right now CardCash is holding yet another Hyatt gift card sale.

5X with Chase Ink

Purchases from CardCash have been earning 5X Ultimate Rewards points if you pay with a Chase Ink Cash, Ink Bold or Ink Plus card through PayPal. That definitely sweetens the deal.

45 Day Guarantee Only!

CardCash only guarantees their cards for 45 days. Additionally I know a few people who have had Hyatt gift cards purchased from CardCash go bad. Thus I would only purchase these if you have a use within the next 45 days.

Conclusion

I personally am glad to see a steady supply of 20%+ discounts and 5X earning on Hyatt gift cards. As long as you are aware of the 45 day guarantee and protect yourself by only purchasing cards for trips coming up then this is a fantastic deal!

  1. Shawn: Is the issue that people have had with these missing values AFTER the 45 days guarantee period or with the value of the e-gift cards when it’s received/used BEFORE the 45 day period? I’m trying to understand where the problems come up…if it’s before, then it seems that cardcash has an issue with them? Or is it a Hyatt issue overall? While getting them at a discount is very attractive, the 45 days window is a limitation, but having the cards ‘go bad’ is another hassle to deal with. As such, I may just buy physical/hard ones (using my Chase Ink of course to get 5x) instead without the % discount.

Appreciate if you can clarify in more details what the source of these problems actually are.

  2. So I was two days away from a cheap Hyatt one-nighter, and although I had been avoiding using CardCash because of all of the problems with drained cards, I figured I’d give this a try.

Worked just fine — bought 3 small cards, including one with an odd amount on it. All got credited at checkout this morning.

Small fly in ointment was that although I did use Chase Ink Plus, it only coded 1x (not 5x).

  3. I have a Hyatt stay coming up, but when I go to reservation page at Hyatt.com there is no option to use Hyatt gift card. Will I have to make a phone reservation to use Hyatt gift card?

    • Gift cards can only be used when paying at a property and are only good in select countries. They are good in North America (includes Canada), Mexico, Caribbean, Central America and South America.
