Chase has released a brand new 100K offer on their Marriott Rewards® Premier Business credit card plus added a new feature making it easier to obtain Gold status. Let’s take a look.
- Receive 100,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from your account opening with your Marriott Rewards Premier Business credit card.
- Earn 5X at Marriott properties
- Earn 2X on airfare, car rentals, restaurants, office supplies, internet, cable and on phone services.
- Earn 1X everywhere else.
- $99 annual fee is NOT WAIVED the first year.
- Get a free night in a category 1-5 property each year on your anniversary.
- No foreign transaction fees.
As always, “This bonus offer is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.”
New Elite Status Benefit
With this card you receive 15 credits towards elite status which is enough to get you Silver. Today Chase announced a new feature where you can get Gold status after making $50K in purchases each account year. This makes obtaining status easier than before, but the Ritz Carlton card is probably still better for getting gold overall.
Should You Apply?
We all know that Chase has been tighter this past year with approvals on their cards, but many people have still had success getting approved, especially on co-branded cards. This is a business card which can mean more scrutiny as well, but overall this is a great deal if you are looking for Marriott points. Considering the personal card has an 87,500 point bonus, you could certainly pickup a nice chunk of points pretty quickly.
While we have seen a number of negative events have an effect on this space over the past year, credit card sign-up bonuses seem to be as good as ever. While Marriott points aren’t the most valuable currency, for many this will be an attractive offer considering the bonus, ongoing benefits and free night each year.
