Chase Sapphire Reserve Confirmation Screenshots
Update: The Chase Sapphire Reserve card is now available to the public. You can find out much more information about the card along with how to apply in this post.
A few weeks ago rumors began to surface about the new premium Chase Sapphire Reserve card. I decided to cover them mainly because I was almost 100% sure that they were true. I was at least almost certain that the card did exist and that it would be coming out. Now, it seems we have confirmation via screenshots from this Doctor of Credit post which I have included below with permission. Let’s look at the screenshots and go over what has been confirmed.
I know a lot of you will be interested to know what the sign-up offer will be on the card. Just as had been rumored, the sign-up bonus is:
- 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.
The following benefits have been confirmed as well:
- 3X points on travel and dining at restaurants worldwide.
- $300 annual travel credit – “Automatically applied to your account for travel purchases charged to your card.”
- 50% more value when you redeem points for travel.
- No foreign transaction fee.
- 1:1 points transfers to partners like with the Sapphire Preferred and Ink Plus.
- $100 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee credit.
- Complimentary airport lounge access to 900+ lounges.
- Visa Infinite
The following items have not been confirmed via screenshot, however the source of the screenshot confirmed them:
- Annual fee: $450
- Authorized users: $75
2.25% Everywhere for Travel
My friend Richard Kerr @thepointsjock mentioned the fact that this card in combination with the Freedom Unlimited means you could earn 2.25% towards most travel on all purchases. That is a great rate and is only bested by the Travel Rewards card from BofA for Platinum Honors members.
This card is real and I think it is compelling, especially if that $300 credit is as automatic as the wording seems to indicate. We still have more to learn as the launch approaches in the coming weeks but as a new sign-up it is a no-brainer (we don’t know how 5/24 will apply) and even as a conversion, it may offer enough value for some people. We will just have to wait and see.
