Citi ThankYou Premier 50K Link

Last week the public offer on Citi’s very good ThankYou Premier card dropped from 50,000 ThankYou points down to 40,000 ThankYou points. Pretty soon after the drop, I covered a backdoor way to still get the 50,000 point offer through Citi’s pre-approval website. It wasn’t a difficult process, but thankfully it appears not to be necessary.

DEM Flyers has found a direct link to the 50K offer that includes a landing page showing all of the details and an application that also shows the bonus. Citi has been notorious for leaving up zombie links for years, so the fact that a direct link exists isn’t surprising and is good news. It remains to be seen how long it will last, but hopefully it will stick around awhile.

My Take

The ThankYou Premier is one of my favorite cards and one I carry whenever I am traveling. It earns 2X ThankYou points on dining and entertainment and a huge 3X on travel including gas. I generally use my ThankYou points to book travel on American Airlines at 1.6 cents since I also carry the Prestige, but I have also transferred them to partners such as Singapore Air. Overall ThankYou points aren’t as good as Ultimate Rewards, but for travel expenses this card earns points 1.5X faster than the Sapphire Preferred.

If you are interested in the 50K offer, make sure to use the links above (which are not affiliate links in any way) to cash in on the extra 10K bonus over what you will get on Citi’s public website. Oh and read this if you think you are going too fast. Remember it is never worth applying if you are not ready, even if you can get a higher bonus.

  1. Random data point: I did an app via the personalized offers page last night and got the 50K offer, then got a denial for the card, despite my score being in the 760s. Then… got an approval email this morning. Weird!
