Crystal Visa Infinite

70,000 Points Signup Bonus for the Crystal Visa Infinite Card [Update: This bonus is no longer available]

City National Bank is offering a 70,000 points bonus for their Crystal Visa Infinite Card. To get the bonus you must spend $5,000 in the first 90 days. These points are worth 1 cent when used for travel so that makes the bonus worth $700. But there’s more benefits that come with this card, and a $400 annual fee that is waived for the first year.

The Offer

Earn 70,000 Bonus Points after spending $5,000 or more during the first 90 days After the opening of your account.

Fees and Benefits

The card has a $400 annual fee, but it is waived for the first year. But it also comes with tons of benefits that make it worthwhile to keep in your wallet even after that.

  • $250 Airline Incidental Fees Statement Credit per Calendar Year per Card
  • Priority Pass Select – Airport Lounge Access For 2 People (Primary and AU plus their guests)
  • Global Entry Application Fee Statement Credit
  • $100 Visa Infinite Discount Air Benefit
  • No Foreign Transaction Fee
  • See more card details here

In case you didn’t notice, the $250 credit is per year, per card. You can add three authorized user cards for free and they all get that annual credit.

The card also earns 3 Points on gasoline, airline, hotel, taxi, rental car, train, bus, restaurant, fast food and takeout food dining purchases and 1 Point on all other purchases. There is no cap on points you can earn and they don’t expire as long as your account is open and in good standing.

How to Apply

Applying for the card is the tricky part. There’s no application or offer page and you cannot do it online. These offers are not usually publicized much by CNB, but are instead sent out by bankers themselves.

You need to visit a branch or contact your local City National banker.. You’ll likely need to submit income verification such as a W2 or a tax return. CNB is pretty picky, so you’ll need to have good credit and good income to qualify. Branches are located in NY, DE, GA, TN, NV and CA.

Conclusion

This is a great card with a very good offer. There was a 100K offer previously, but recently it has been just 50K. Even though it has a $400 annual fee (waived the first year), the card give you lots of benefits that more than make up for it.

  1. I applied yesterday in branch and the teller told me that the 70k bonus offer is available (only if you are approved for 10k or more credit). Can you update your post to remove the Expired wording ?

  2. Are we sure that this offer is dead? Are you even sure that the 70K offer was ever alive? I am a CNB account holder and I never saw another deal after the 100K promo ended in 2015 and I have been looking and waiting for one.

  3. I already got their initial promo for 100K and just paid for this year’s annual fee. Can I apply for a second one? Thanks.

  4. I loved this card, got with the 100K bonus. They changed the incidentals to not cover seat upgrades though. I applied in branch and they required me to make an account with them first. One option is to use your points for a gift card I used 105K for a $1000 GC.

  5. Do you have examples of what counts as a “Airline Incidental Fees” ? Trying to determine how many of these I rack up per year.
