Great Deals

Here are some more random deals from this crazy September 1.

  • Groupon is offering 20% off with the code DROP20. Expires tomorrow 9/2.
  • You can get a free AARP membership with $15 in Walgreens health and wealthness products. Details here.
  • eBay has a number of gift cards on sale today including CVS, Southwest Airlines, Barnes and Noble and Staples. Some deals are borderline for reselling, but many could be good for keeping. Some people also will receive 6% in eBay Bucks and don’t forget to use a portal. This may stack nicely with the new United portal bonus.
  • Get $5 off at Local Flavor (certain cities only) with the code EASYSAVE. I have never used the site, but PDX Deals Guy has used them many times and says they have some nice deals.

Other Deals

  • The Starbucks buy $10 get $10 free Visa Checkout deal has begun. Details here.

Have a great evening!

    • eBay Bucks are earned on the purchase. You simply click through from the United portal and login to your account. You’ll earn the portal bonus for the click through and eBay Bucks for your purchase. It is automatic.

  1. Shawn, the United bonus/portal says ““Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.”

You mention regarding the Ebay gift card sale “This may stack nicely with the new United portal bonus.” Do you know if it does stack since terms says it doesn’t. Not sure if inside tip or mistake.

    • That is generic language they have and I can’t guarantee it will work, but I can tell you from my personal experience anything that pays out through the portal normally (including gift cards at eBay) will trigger the bonus. It always has for me.

  2. We just retired from the company that runs LocalFlavor – many locations all over the country – more on the east and west coasts and the south. Like Groupon and Living Social, you can search for locations – it’s in several hundred markets.
Basically, the company started as Clipper Magazine, a local business coupon advertising publication, and expanded into adding online deals. Restaurants and family fun are a prime focus of Local Flavor, but there are other business categories, too.
TIP: just before holiday weekends there is usually a $5 off promo for a few days, with different codes.

  3. hope you have these posts on auto pilot or something man.. cuz you should be enjoying your time at Puerto Vallarta…

however, i almost misread your hotel post as “Hyatt Zika”. immediately thought why you would ever want to stay at that kind of Hyatt.. then i double checked…

    be careful out there man!
