Deals Ending March 31
Every week I write a post over on Frequent Miler called Deals Still Alive. The post is designed to show you which deals are still working and which ones will end soon. After writing this week’s post I noticed a couple of killer deals ending today.
Directv $100 Credit
Back in January I wrote about Directv’s Amex Offer for a $100 statement credit. The offer is technically for people who open a new Directv account for their business, however it works to pay your normal bill as well. Today is the last day to pay and get the credit.
Directv has a system where they won’t allow you to have more than $100 in credit with them, so I have had to wait to use up my three credits. Over the past couple of month I made two payments and today I am using my third card. For me, the $300 in credits amounts to about 5 months of free service!
Hyatt 20% Rebate Promotion
Today is also the last chance to register for Hyatt’s 20% rebate promotion for holders of their co-branded credit card. The actual 20% rebate runs through 7/31, however Gold Passport accounts must be registered with the offer by today to qualify.
If you have a Hyatt credit card either call in to Gold Passport or send them a tweet to make sure the promotion is added to your account before the end of the day. Once added, you will automatically receive a 20% rebate on all award stays for the next four months! Easy peasy.
The end of the month always means the end of some deals. This is also the end of the 1st quarter, so don’t forget to maximize the 5% categories on cards like the Discover It (my review) and Chase Freedom (my review). The Chase Freedom is especially easy to maximize since it is paying 5% at grocery stores this quarter.
I always try not to miss out on promotions like the ones mentioned in this post, because they represent easy ways to save money/points on things I am doing anyway. From hotel stays to the television I watch, I am glad that this hobby allows me to save money on just about everything.
