42″ Vizio HDTV $140.19 before tax
So I know this isn’t travel related, but every once in awhile a cool deal comes across my desk. I created “Great Deals” to highlight them, but keep them from the main content of the site.
The Deal
Dell has a pretty spectacular deal on the Vizio 42″ E420i-B0 LED HDTV. Currently they are selling it for $399.99, but by combining a coupon, cashback and a rebate, the price more than drops in half.
Note: You could potentially save more by buying a Dell gift card at a discount, however note that their website only allows one gift card to be used per order so keep that in mind.
Here is how the math works:
- Television: $399.99
- Coupon code SNDXCPJZJW4SMB: -$22
- Up front cost $377.99
- 10% Discover portal cashback: $37.80 (Next best is Top Cashback at 5%)
- Mail in rebate: $200 (form)
- Final price: $140.19
Note that many states charge sales tax which I have left out of the calculation. Where I am here in Nevada, the final price including sales tax is $170.81. This television does have mixed reviews, but for this price it is a great deal for a spare room or whatever else you want to use it for!

Ya, good point, don’t coupon codes disqualify you from cashback?
As recent as two months ago I was able to combine a coupon with Discover cashback. I can’t guarantee that hasn’t changed, but it has definitely worked before.
