eBay Bucks Are Available

So you have worked hard over the past quarter. Sweating over your keyboard buying and selling gift cards during 4X & 5X eBay Bucks promotions. All of your calculations for profit had to do with how much you earned back in eBay Bucks.

Well thankfully today the gates have opened on your earnings. Those eBay Bucks you have earned over the past quarter are now available in your account. Don’t forget about them, because they are only valid for one month.

How to Find Your eBay Bucks

To find your eBay Bucks go to My eBay and on the top left locate eBay Bucks and click on it.

You will now be on the eBay Bucks page. It says you don’t have any Bucks, but that is just referring to this quarter. Look over towards the right and you should see your certificate from the last quarter along with a redemption code.

You can find more info in the eBay Bucks FAQ.

What to Buy

Well you can purchase just about anything on eBay with eBay Bucks. You can wait for more gift card deals and “reinvest” your profit or you can treat yourself to something nice for all of your hard work. Perhaps the safest thing to do is buy an eBay gift card. That way you are ready for the next sale, but you don’t forget to use your certificate before it expires.

Conclusion

I ended up earning $430 in eBay Bucks last quarter due to all of the 4X and 5X promotions combined with a few items that I bought and resold. For me, eBay gift cards are as good as cash since I spend enough, so I’ll convert my eBay Bucks into an eBay gift card and wait for the next big sale!

  1. I love eBay bucks and they are close to cash but they aren’t exactly cash. You can use cash to pay your credit card bill and use a chase ink to earn another 2,150 UR points through buying eBay gift cards. Can’t do that with eBay bucks.

    • Fair enough. My main point was that I cycle through enough money on eBay that I spend them and thus don’t need to justify buying something I don’t need just to use the rewards. I actually think I will probably spend these on something other than eBay gift cards since I can easily max out eBay gift cards as you say. If I do that then I can have my cake and eat it too!

  2. Shawn, would you also advise waiting for another eBay bucks 4x, 5x promotion? I believe you can earn eBay bucks on purchases that are paid for with a certificate.

  3. Hey Shawn, wanna run something buy you real quick on this. So if I use my eBay bucks on a eBay gift card, can I go via TopCashBack portal and buy a eBay gift card from PayPal Digital to get cashback? Sucks you dont earn eBay Bucks for buying a eBay gift card right? Also, there isnt some eBay deal going on now is there? like $10 off a number of $50 gift cards? I always miss those! Never read blogs fast enough!! Thank you for all the great info!

    • Portals don’t pay back on eBay gift cards. You should earn portal cashback when you use the card though. For awhile Ebates was accidentally paying on eBay gift cards, but my last purchase through them didn’t track, although it doesn’t hurt to try.

No eBay deal right now, but you can wait to see if one comes up. Just make sure to use the eBay Bucks before the promo cert expires.

        • Actually BeFrugal pays out on ebay GC purchases @ 1.1%. I have been doing round robin with paypal digital gifts with one $100 ebay code. So far my cost have been down to 5.5%. I have lot of ebay bucks as well, so I’ll be buying ebay GC via BeFrugal and getting another 1.1% bonus CB…:)

  4. I don’t see the option to buy ebay GCs for any amount – only $15, $25, $30 etc.

That means that if you want to redeem your ebay bucks you’ll probably have to sink in a few extra dollars. Am I missing something?
