Business Class From Europe to US, $579 One-Way
TAP Portugal has a new sale, this one on business travel from Europe to a few US cities. Let’s take a look.
The Offer
TAP Portugal has business class prices starting at $579 one-way from Oslo and Copenhagen to Boston, New York, and Miami. These fare prices are available after the summer, with some availability in September, but more starting from October and November. Round trip fares will cost about $1,100.
How To Maximize
If you’re paying in cash then you’re better off using an OTA. Search at Momondo to find the best prices. Here’s an example from Oslo to NYC for $579 in Business Class.
You could also purchase directly on the TAP Portugal website and earn 5x if you have a Amex Platinum credit card or 3x with a few other cards.
I you have the Amex Business Platinum card then you can book with points on Amex Travel and get an incredible deal. With a 50% rebate you will end up paying for less than 30,000 MR points for a one way flight in business class.
On top of that you will also receive 200% miles flown in a number of frequent flyer programs, which would be about 10,000 miles.
Conclusion
This is a great price for business class and it becomes fantastic if you have the Amex Business Platinum card with about 29K MR points one-way or 57-58K round-trip. Most readers are probably based in the US so you might be interested in just a one -way flight from Europe to the US in business class. Look for another deal to make your way to Europe.
A flat bed seat is not guaranteed but for the price, you can’t really complain.
