FoundersCard: Alaska Airlines Benefit Returns

FoundersCard: Alaska Airlines Benefit Returns

FoundersCard has announced that members are entitled to enroll in a “new” benefit that gives members 5% off fares in the Continental US, Hawaii, and Canada in Coach and First Class on both Alaska Airlines and Virgin America flights.

This is not the first time FoundersCard has given members 5% off on Alaska and Virgin America but in the past flights to Hawaii were excluded. There are still exclusions on flights to Mexico, Alaska (sort of ironic) and Costa Rica.

If you decide to sign up and use our referral link, it’s greatly appreciated! The referral code is FCSHAWN593 and the initiation fee of $95 will be waived.

Conclusion

The Alaska Airlines benefit available to FoundersCard members has varied in past years, but hopefully this is here to stay. Some of the other airline benefits for FC members are of questionable value, but since this is a discount code that can be used directly on Alaska’s website. This is actually a great deal and a nice way to save some extra money if you have to pay cash for your flight. Check out the Promotion page on FoundersCard. FoundersCard has something for everyone and there are plenty of other valuable membership benefits, most notably Total Rewards Diamond Status as well as AAdvantage Platinum Status.

  1. I totally see what you’re saying… to be clear, it’s just a personal referral code as Shawn’s a member and of you use a referral code you get the initiation fee waived. If you search founderscard on our site, there are several posts that go in depth. I also had to input my personal information to get information about founderscard (also the price changes ALL the time depending on promotions) we have a post about that too. ($300-600) range per year. Hope that helps!

  2. Umm, I keep going through your links to find out more about the card, but they want to database information that I’m reluctant to give while just trying to see about the costs and benefits. This makes me pretty wary when your website endorses this card without even saying what you get or how much it costs.
