Hamilton Los Angeles Amex Platinum Presale

The hit show Hamilton begins its Los Angeles run in August. Just like we have seen with the Broadway and Chicago productions, tickets are going to be popular and hard to get. Thankfully American Express Platinum cardholders may have a chance to get tickets now!

While tickets are not on sale to the public yet, American Express has a presale of their own. The sale technically began yesterday both over the phone and online, although many people had issues with the Amex site. I personally have only seen very high priced premium tickets available on the site. Thankfully there is a way to get great seats without paying a fortune.

My wife just got off of the phone with the American Express Platinum Concierge and was able to get fantastic tickets for a Saturday this November. Side Orchestra tickets are $175 each including fees, although we opted for Center Orchestra tickets for $195. A great deal!

Keep in mind that a lot of people are calling so hold times are long and these tickets might not last long. Good luck!

  1. I cant even access it on ticketmaster!

If i go under the Amex section “http://www.ticketmaster.com/americanexpress” there’s no Hamilton show that pops up.

If i do a search on the main website for Hamilton (touring), i get a “Tickets not available, please check back later”

  2. We also tried calling American Express concierge but were redirected to the TM website – no luck there, except for VERY expensive tickets. hmmm…

  3. Too bad that hearing-impaired people feel discriminated against because they are unable to call and the chat service support indicates that the technical issues are on our end and they can’t do anything to help. Extremely disappointed in American Express and Ticketmaster for the way they handled this. Hopefully I can still get decent seats when I wait in line at the box office next Sunday when the tickets go on sale to the public.

  4. We were also trying yesterday through the Ticketmaster website. Horrible. We eventually got tickets by calling the Ticketmaster automated phone line. We didn’t get to pick tickets but we did get them. Next time, we’ll remember to call the AMEX concierge.

  5. Thank you for the update. I tried via the website yesterday and it was frustrating to say the least. I assumed all the tickets were gone. Your suggestion to call in yielded excellent results. The wait time was 30 minutes for a concierge, but everything was completed by the one hour mark. We were able to snag very good tickets (also center orchestra) at the same price point in your blog. Overall very satisfied, and it wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t recommend calling in.

  6. Amex presale was handled badly IMO, Pantages website had information for the Amex presale but it’s no where to be found on the Ticketmaster site. I didnt know you had to call in for it.
