Amex Offers; Save 15% & Earn 5,000 Hilton Points on Weekend Stays

American Express and Hilton have teamed up for an Amex Offer that can save you some money and earn you points on Hilton stays. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

Save 15% & earn 5,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points on your next qualifying 2+ consecutive night weekend stay until 10/17/2017 at participating hotels in the Hilton Portfolio. Pay with your American Express Card for bookings made by 9/15/2017.

Key Terms

  • Offer is valid for select American Express® Card Members only and is exclusive to bookings made on the HiltonHotelOffers.com/Amex page.
  • American Express Card Members who book this offer and complete a qualifying stay by October 17, 2017 can earn 5,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points.
  • To be eligible to receive 5,000 Bonus Points, you must be enrolled in the Hilton Honors™ program prior to your stay.
  • Offer valid for weekend stays booked between July 24, 2017, and September 15, 2017, at participating properties in the Hilton Portfolio in North and South America, including the Caribbean.
  • Offer not valid at Canopy by Hilton™, Embassy Suites by Hilton™, Homewood Suites by Hilton™, and Home2 Suites by Hilton™. Offer is non-transferable.
  • Offer available for arrivals Thursday through Sunday, with two consecutive night minimum length of stay requirement per Card Member.
  • Check out for stays through October 15, 2017, must be on or before October 17, 2017.
  • Discount of 15% off nightly rate relates to the hotel’s Best Available rate, (“BAR”), which is a specific rate type that varies depending on time of purchase, is unrestricted, non-qualified and excludes discount rates.

Conclusion

You need to book at a dedicated link and verify eligibility with your Amex card in order to get the discount and bonus points. These offers don’t always yield the best prices, so make sure you compare rates if you’re looking at any Hilton properties through this offer.

  1. As you implied, for existing reservations you cannot just pay with your Hilton AMEX card. You must rebook thru the specific site shown above. A bit strange of Hilton because you can’t reserve straight from the app which is exactly what they have been encouraging for months. And, as you say, using the ANEX promo link may not necessarily give the best rate.

  2. FYI to everyone. This 15% AMEX promo is a joke. Its the AAA rate. If you have AAA or even if you dont, you can still book the AAA rate. Its the same thing. I checked many major cities. You can try it yourself. The only difference is the hilton 5k points which is still good if you plan on staying with hilton anyway. but note that you dont get the 500 pt app booking promo since you have to use this website. wish there was a amex discount code instead then maybe you can stack.

    BUT WAIT… theres more…

Hilton is running another damn promo at the same time thats TWENTY PERCENT 20% OFF in select cities. WTF. Thats even better. I checked the rates. Its legit way better. 20%. You lose 5k points but cmon. 20% off beats the AAA rate.

Hilton Honors Members save 20% on stays in Philadelphia, Los Angeles and other select destinations. Get packing, all stays must be completed by October 16, 2017. Hurry, this deal won’t last long – sale ends Friday, July 28.
