Point Breaks IHG Rewards Club Connect

Chloe over on the IHG Community Boards has posted a preview of the upcoming Point Breaks list.  For those who don’t know, every couple of months IHG releases a list of hotels that will be available for 5,000 points per night.  This new list of hotels will be discounted for stays between January 27, 2014 and March 31, 2014.

Analysis

Unfortunately this list of hotels is a little disappointing compared to some of the more recent ones.  There is some hint in the post that more U.S. hotels may be available when the official list is released on Monday.  My guess is the best hotels are already listed, so I wouldn’t expect any shockers if any more are added.

I may be in India in March, but I am not sure if Delhi will be on the agenda.  If it is, then perhaps I will check out the Crowne Plaza.  As for the Holiday Inn Express in Carlsbad, the reviews are really good and the hotel is brand new.  I just am not convinced that I shouldn’t pay cash to hit the Big Win.
