Simon Mall Year End Visa Gift Card Promo
Simon Mall has kicked off their end of the year promo. It is not as good as years past, no fee cards, but it is better than nothing. The promo runs until December 24, 2017.

Details of the Promo
The details of the promo are as follows:
- Promo runs from now until December 24th, or until the cards run out
- Fee reduced to $2.95 per $500 Visa Gift Card. ($1 less than the normal $3.95)
Conclusion
This is not earth shattering but for people that have a location near them (store locator here) or do mass value this reduces their cost by 25%.
You can essentially purchase any point you want for $0.0065 a piece. That can be a great deal for reduced travel.

Amex Blue gets 2x per dollar…..would that be better than using say, SPG or CSR?
Yes if you have that card that would probably be the best on to use there.
I get 1.5x on CFU so the cost per UR point is even less
