Summer Promotions at SPG, Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Properties
SPG, Marriott and Ritz-Carlton have announced separate summer promotions that can earn you extra points on stays. Let’s take a look.
SPG Take Three
Just stay two or more nights at participating SPG hotels and resorts between May 27 and September 4, 2017 and earn:
- TRIPLE STARPOINTS on weekends.
- DOUBLE STARPOINTS on weekdays.
Registration ends August 30, 2017.
Key Terms
- SPG Members must register online between May 15, 2017, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), August 30, 2017 at spg.com/takethree.
- Registered members can earn bonus Starpoints on eligible stays between May 27, 2017, through September 4, 2017 at participating hotels and resorts in the SPG program.
- Registered members will earn double Starpoints at participating hotels and resorts on eligible stays of two or more nights within the earning period. Registered members who earn double Starpoints will earn an additional two (2) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent (for a total of four [4] Starpoints per dollar).
- Registered members will earn triple Starpoints at participating hotels and resorts on eligible weekend stays of two or more nights within the earning period. The Ritz-Carlton Summer Sojourns
Earn double Ritz-Carlton Rewards® points for every stay of two nights or longer at The Ritz-Carlton® hotels and resorts between May 27, 2017 and September 4, 2017.

- Earn 2,000 bonus points per stay beginning with your second stay.
- Earn an additional 2,000 bonus points for each new brand you stay with, beginning with your second brand.
- The first stay establishes the first brand. Member will earn bonus points for every additional brand they stay with.
- The brand challenge is limited to the number of available participating brands.

Conclusion
The SPG promotion is probably the best, since SPG points are the most valuable and you can earn up to 3x the usual rate during this promotion. Only weekend stays qualify for triple points, while weekdays will earn double.
The Marriott promotion is also interesting, but you need to have at least to stays to earn a bonus. You’ll earn 2,000 bonus points per stay beginning with your second stay and an additional 2,000 points for each new brand you stay with. If possible switch up your brands to earn that extra 2K per stay.
The Ritz-Carlton offer is pretty straightforward. You’ll earn double Ritz-Carlton Rewards points for every stay of two nights or longer with some exclusions.
