SPG has launched a new promotion called Earn Away Get Away. During the promotional period from May 1, 2014 to July 31, 2014, you can earn double points on all stays and triple points on stays that include a Saturday night. (Sunday night in the Middle East.)
This promotion is available at almost all of SPG’s properties, but there are some excluded hotels. Additionally, members must register for the promotion before June 30, 2014 in order to be eligible for the extra points.
With the bonus, members will receive 4 Starpoints per dollar spent on double point stays and 6 points per dollar on triple point stays. Of course elite bonuses are added on top of that as well.
You can register for the promotion here and SPG has released a FAQ to answer all of your random questions regarding the promotion. While this isn’t the best promotion around, it is a free and easy way to earn extra points.
I recommend registering for the promotion whether or not you have any upcoming SPG stays just in case you happen to book one of their properties later!
