There is a new Amex Offer from American Express that is an easy way to rack up a quick 1000 Membership Rewards points for anyone who has/uses Apple Pay.  It appears that this offer is targeted.

Here are the terms of the deal:

• The offer expires 9/30/19
• Get 200 additional Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $5 or more using Apple Pay on your eligible mobile device. Limit of 1,000 Membership Rewards points.

ENROLLMENT/ELIGIBLE CARDS: Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Your enrollment does not extend to any other Cards that may be linked to the same Membership Rewards program account (such as Additional Cards). Offer is non-transferable. ELIGIBLE PURCHASES: Offer valid only for a qualifying purchase made with your enrolled American Express Card using Apple Pay on your eligible mobile device. Conclusion

If you use Apple Pay regularly then this is easy points.  Even if you don’t it may be worth making a few small purchases.  1000 Membership Rewards points for spending $25 is like earning 40 points per dollar ;).
