In an effort to get people to use their mobile app, Travelocity is offering a great promotion today which offers $40 off of a $100 or more hotel booking by using the code MOBILE40.

This promotion is only running through 11:59PM Pacific tonight 6/29/14.  The hotel booking has to be for travel through December 31, 2014 and there is a limit of one coupon per qualifying hotel booking. (There looks to be some opportunity with that language.)

Remember also that the booking must be done with the Travelocity mobile app which is available for both iOS & Android. Click here for the full list of terms & conditions.

Conclusion

While a lot of the major hotel chains are excluded, this is still a great deal if you are planning an upcoming trip where you may be staying in a smaller chain or a local hotel.  It certainly can’t hurt to download the app in order to see just what discounts are available for your upcoming travel dates.  Good luck!
