Wide Open AAdvantage Awards to Europe Early 2017 & Some Space Last Minute for Summer

This morning Traveling for Miles & View from the Wing brought to light that American has a lot of award (and upgrade) space to Europe in business class in late 2016 and early 2017. The most amount of space seems to be to Paris CDG, however other cities such as London, Zurich and Frankfurt have decent award availability as well. When researching the Quick Deal I wrote about this, I noticed there is a decent amount of award space this Summer too.

Summer 2016 to Europe

To check, I searched for two award seats and found several days with space available. Here is JFK-CDG in both directions for June, 2016.

There is also sporadic space from MIA-CDG, DFW-CDG and a few days for LAX-CDG. No, you won’t find availability for all dates this Summer, I have found enough available flights to be able to easily book a roundtrip. You can search for available flights here. Remember to search the overwater segment first and then figure out the domestic connections.

Conclusion

Considering sometimes there isn’t a single award for months at a time in business class on AA, this space seems decent if you are looking for a last minute trip to Europe this Summer. If you are looking for a Winter 2016/2017 trip, then you should have no problem picking and choosing your dates and flights. Happy booking!
