AAdvantage Shopping Mall Bonus Offer, Earn up to 1,500 Extra Miles

American Airlines has a new ‘Back to School Bonus’ that can earn you some extra miles when you shop through their shopping portal.

The Offer

During the “Back to School Bonus” campaign, which runs from 08/09/18 through 08/19/18 at 11:59:59 pm ET, Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,500 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases made through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.  This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period:

  • Earn 1,500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $350 or more.
  • Earn 500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150 or more.

  • Limited time offer valid August 9, 2018 – August 19, 2018
  • Registration is required prior to the first qualifying transaction.
  • AAdvantage miles earned through this promotion/offer do not count toward elite-status qualification or Million Miler® status
  • Bonus Miles will be awarded within six weeks of the last qualifying transaction posting to a member’s account.

Conclusion

A decent added bonus to the normal AAdvantage miles that you would earn. You get an extra 4.3X if you spend exactly $350 through their portal. Always compare rates to make sure you are getting the best deal, even after this added bonus.
