American Airlines SimplyMiles Promotion
The new SimplyMiles program from American Airlines, has a promotion that will earn you 5x AAdvantage miles until the end of the month. I read about it a while ago, but just now I am realizing how great the promotion is. That 5x multiplier works for the bonus miles that you normally earn. It can get you 30x at Best Buy or even better at some other stores. Let’s check the details.
The Offer
Starting December 18, 2019 through December 31, 2019 you can earn an additional 5x AAdvantage miles on every offer on SimplyMiles. Hurry, this holiday bonus is for a limited time only subject to availability as limited number of bonus miles are available.
Key Terms
- Qualifying purchase must be between 12:00a PT 12/18/19 and 11:59p PT 12/31/2019 and is contingent on adding the eligible offer to an enrolled Card.
- American Airlines has the right to end the holiday bonus before December 31, 2019.
How it Works
So let’s see how this promotion as actually working. First you should know that offers vary from one account to the other, similar to Chase and Amex Offers. Here’s one that I have for 4YOURHEALTH. It gives you 500 miles for making a purchase of $15 or more.
So you will earn the 500 miles after making a $15 purchase, plus 5×500 as part of this limited time promotion. That is 3,000 miles for spending $15.
If you have this Best Buy offer, then you will earn 1,500 miles with a $200 purchase. Some people are seeing a 1,000 bonus instead of the 250 offer that I have. That would be 6,000 miles for a $200 purchase.
Conclusion
This is a very lucrative promotion, depending on what offers you have in the account. You just need to add a Mastercard credit card (like the CitiBusiness AAdvantage card), add the offer to the card, and then use that card to make the required purchases. If you already have any purchases planned and you see a bonus for that merchant, that’s great. But some offers are amazing even if you are not looking to purchase anything at all. That 4YOURHEALTH offer will get you 3,000 miles for $15. There’s a Wags offer that will get you 12,000 miles for $10. You can earn 15,000 miles for a new BJ’s membership etc.

How do you get the SimplyMiles promo? I can’t find it anywhere and it’s not showing up on my AA card in offers.

And that according to Bethany at Bougiemiles once you add a aadvantage cc you can use ANY mastercard to actually make the purchase. Like say an att access and more at bestbuy.com for 3xty points.
