Earn 3X Amex Membership Rewards at Walmart for a Whole Month

American Express and Walmart have teamed up for a month long promotion that will earn you extra rewards when shopping at the retail giant. Let’s check the details.

The Offer

Card Members can earn two additional Membership Rewards® points per dollar spent (for a total of 3 points) when they use Amex Express Checkout on Walmart.com from July 30 to August 30.

How to Use Amex Express Checkout:

  • During checkout on Walmart.com desktop, mobile web or mobile app (iOS and Android) select Amex Express Checkout under the + More tab under payment methods
  • Enter your AmericanExpress.com UserID and Password
  • Your billing and Card information will be auto-filled in the designated fields, so just confirm and complete your order
  • For more information on Amex Express Checkout please visit, www.amexexpresscheckout.com

Conclusion

The new promotion was sent to us from American Express by email, but I do not see a promotion page. The offer will give you a total of of 3X Membership Rewards points, so only those cards are eligible for the promotion. There’s no enrollment necessary and there doesn’t seem to be a limit.

  1. Wouldn’t it be 4 MR points if you used Amex’s Blue Business Plus credit card? Or is the max 3 points total, regardless of what Amex card you use?
