Amex Delta Gold 75k

Highest Ever Bonus for Amex Delta Gold: 75K Miles + $50 Credit

American Express has sent out a great new offer for its Delta Gold card with the highest ever bonus. You need to have received an email in order to qualify for the bonus, but you could also check if you’re targeted. The bonus if for 75,000 SkyMiles. Let’s take a look at the offer.

The Offer

Special offer for select SkyMiles members:

  • Earn 50,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months of Card Membership
  • Earn an additional 25,000 bonus miles after you make an additional $1,000 in eligible purchases on your Card within the first 6 months

Plus earn a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.

Key Terms

  • Special offer expires on January 24, 2018
  • $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95.

How to Get the Offer

The offer was sent by email, so you need to have been targeted in order to qualify. You can also check here, and log in with your SkyMiles credentials, in case you have missed the email.

Amex Lifetime Restriction

UNFORTUNATELY, YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE SIGN-UP BONUS PER PRODUCT PER LIFETIME ON PERSONAL AND BUSINESS AMEX CARDS. HERE IS THE LANGUAGE THEY USE ON CARD APPLICATIONS: WELCOME BONUS OFFER NOT AVAILABLE TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE OR HAVE HAD THIS PRODUCT.

There really isn’t much wiggle room in that. If you have had a card before, you will not receive the bonus. Sometimes you’re able able to get a bonus again if you’ve had a card many years ago, but best way to be sure would be to check with Amex what cards you have and had in the past.

Conclusion

This offer won’t be available to many people, but hopefully some of out readers received it via email. We had never seen a bonus this high for the Amex Delta Gold card and the spending requirement is very reasonable at $3,000 in six months. Even if you are targeted, the offer contains the lifetime language, so you won’t be eligible if you have had this product in the past.

  1. I received a similar targeted offer for 60,000 miles and $50 statement credit after $1000 in spend. No where do I see the lifetime restriction stated on the application. Does it have to be stated or is it just a know fact?

    • It should be stated. Just make sure you read it thoroughly. Check Application page and Terms page. If you don;t see it anywhere then you should be eligible for the bonus. Also take screenshots during the application, just in case.

        • Customer service at AmEx is 800-528-4800. They should know. I got repeated emails and then a mailing with no lifetime mention in them. I’m gonna be ticked if this doesn’t work for miles.
