Amex Offer: $50 Off Clear Membership

Amex Offer: $50 Off Clear Membership

There is a new Amex Offer for Clear, a service that allows you to skip the security line at participating airports. Clear members are escorted by employees straight to the physical TSA screening portion, thereby bypassing any line. If you already have TSA Precheck, you would skip the line and go straight to the Pre-Check screening area.

A standard Clear membership is $179 per year. You can add up to 3 additional family members who live in your house for $50 each. But we can do better! Delta Skymiles members are eligible to receive highly discounted rates, so you may be able to do better. Delta Diamond Medallion Member, you receive a Clear Membership for free. Other Delta members with elite status and Delta cardholders are eligible for a $79 membership and basic members receive a discounted rate of $99.

Details

  • Use your enrolled card to make a single purchase of $179 or more at Clearme.com and receive a $50 statement credit
  • Purchase must be made by 3/8/2018

Conclusion

This is a pretty good deal if you are eligible for one of the Discounted Delta Rates and you have 2 additional family members to add for $50 each. That means you would get 3 Clear memberships for anywhere from $129- $149. That’s a steal!

  1. Would be nice if I could prepay an extra year to get me past the $179. Otherwise Delta offer is as good as it gets for me…

  2. What’s the point of doing the Amex offer ($179 – $50 = $129) in the first place if just having a Delta Skymiles membership makes the annual fee $99/year or less?
