HOW LOYALTY PROGRAMS TRICK YOU INTO SPENDING MORE – The Points Pundit

I am really starting to think more and more that status is just a big scam. I already discussed how I don’t think it really costs hotels much.  The same thinking would go with airline status.  They get us thinking there is value involved in loyalty programs, and there is some, but I think we grossly overvalue it.

Target.com bans me for probably reselling – Miles Per Day

WHY EVERYONE AGREES DELTA IS THE BEST U.S. AIRLINE – Family Flys Free

I do like Delta the best of the domestic airlines for a few reasons but the main one is that Detroit is a Delta hub. If cost is equal I will choose them first but they often charge a premium.  Their rewards program leaves something to be desired too but I think their elite program is one of the better ones.

It appears Ian was trying to say Delta is a well run airline from all angles – investors, employees and passengers.  Which is an interesting take.  It is impressive to see how far they have come in 10 years.
