This is a great value for everyone with a ton of Avios. I’m sitting on a healthy pile of Avios as a result of the Amex membership Rewards 50% transfer bonus. This week I received an email from Iberia for Iberia Plus members with a 50% discount on round trip flights to Madrid. To book this deal head over to the official promotion page. Conclusion

You can transfer Membership Rewards points and Ultimate Rewards now directly to Iberia Avios at a rate of 1:1. You can also transfer British Airways Avios and Aer Lingus Avios to Iberia. So it should be fairly easy to get enough Avios for this promotion if you don’t have them already. If you were looking to travel to Madrid this is a nice deal. Unlike BA, Iberia doesn’t add crazy surcharges to award flights so taxes will be modest.
