Bank Of America Free Museums 2018

Bank Of America Free Museums 2019

The Museums on Us program was introduced by Bank of America a few years back.  If you have a BOA or Merril Lynch credit or debit card you are able to enter select museums the first weekend of every month for free. One free ticket for each cardmember.  It is a great perk that can bring you $100-200 per year in value if you maximize it.

The calendar has been updated to include dates in 2019…this is great news and an awesome perk!

2019 Dates

Here is a calendar of the dates for 2019.  You can also find it on their website HERE.

There is an interactive map that tells you which museums participate.

Terms of Use

TO QUALIFY, SIMPLY PRESENT YOUR ACTIVE BANK OF AMERICA® OR MERRILL LYNCH® CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ALONG WITH A PHOTO ID TO GAIN ONE FREE GENERAL ADMISSION TO ANY PARTICIPATING INSTITUTION. CARDHOLDERS ONLY; GUESTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FREE ADMISSION. EXCLUDES SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS, TICKETED SHOWS AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

Henry Ford Museum ReviewConclusion

This is an amazing perk that everyone should be able to take advantage of at one point or another.  You can use this perk at your local museum, my son loves The Henry Ford Museum. Or use it when you travel, I loved visiting the American Museum of Natural History when we were in New York (which sadly seems to no longer be a part of the program)

I look forward to another visit or two to the Henry Ford this year as well as the Michigan Science Center.

This is a great and inexpensive way you can spend some time with friends and family doing something different.  Whether it is around the block or across the country there are a lot of possibilities worth checking out!

  1. i was wondering if authorized users added on my card ate also eligible for free admission or if there is any way the museum will know that it is only for primary cardholder

    • I think that would work since they have only looked at the card in my experience. They don’t really do anything with it.

  2. Again, nothing in the STL local area. I did noticed that the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, which is in the KC area is shown. Both the National World War I Museum and Memorial and the Union Station’s Science Center, Science City are easily visited if you took Amtrak into KC. On a previous visit to D.C., I did go inside the Newseum.

    • They don’t seem to really add to the roster at all which is kind of sad but they don’t seem to lose anything either. I wish more museums would jump on board. Most people bring non cardmembers or kids etc. with them so it does drive traffic.
