Blue Cash Preferred $250 Upgrade Offer Being Sent Out
American Express loves to send out upgrade offers to their current cardholders. This is a way to get proven customers into a more expensive card. They also usually offer what amounts to a welcome bonus to take them up on the offer. They had an amazing offer for the Aspire card a month or so ago. Last night I received an email from Amex with an Everyday Preferred $250 upgrade offer.
This is not the first time I received an offer on my American Express Blue Cash Everyday card. I have upgraded and downgraded this card a few times now. Just be sure to wait at least 12 months after upgrading before downgrading again or you may get your offer clawed back.
The terms of the upgrade offer are as follows:
- Earn a $250 statement credit after spending $2,000 within 3 months of upgrading
- $95 annual fee not waived (will have to pay prorated amount).
The offer came via email with the subject: Congratulations, Mark! Special offer inside. I also saw the offer in my Amex Offers section so it is worth checking that as well.
I LOVE these upgrade offers since they allow you to get into a better card, with a bonus, without getting a hard pull on your credit report. This is great for people trying to stay under 5/24 status as well. These offers also allow you to essentially get a welcome offer more than once on the same card too.
Did anyone else get the offer for this or any other Amex card?
