Caesars Diamond Celebration Dinner For A Buffet of Buffets Pass
One of the best things about getting Caesars Rewards Diamond status is the $100 celebration dinner you get. Remember that we covered how to get this free meal every year by getting your status match on. Wyndham is finally useful for something, because they are not for their hotels! I put together a list in the past of the best Diamond celebration dinner locations in Las Vegas. One thing that I was not sure of when writing that post is can you use Caesars Diamond celebration dinner for a buffet of buffets pass?
What is the Buffet of Buffets Pass?
The Buffet of Buffets pass allows you to eat at all any of the following buffets for 24 hours:
- Flamingo: Paradise Garden Buffet
- Harrah’s: Flavors The Buffet
- Paris Las Vegas: Le Village Buffet
- Planet Hollywood: Spice Market Buffet
- Rio: Carnival World
Then you can add on the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s for an additional cost. The cost is $25 for brunch or lunch and $35 per person for dinner.
This pass lets you enter as many buffets as you want over a 24 hour period. If you enter the buffet at 23 hours and 59 minutes you are still good. That means it is best to start your pass at dinner time on the first night so that you can get two dinners out of it. Remember that you need to be inside the buffet when the pass expires and not just in line so give yourself some time for that.
The cost is as follows:
- The Caesars Rewards member price
- Weekdays is $59.99
- Weekday ends on Thursday at 8PM and starts Sunday at 8PM.
- Weekends are $69.99
- Weekdays is $59.99
Non member prices are $10 more per person but everyone doing this should be a member. The best value is getting it Thursday evening around 7-8PM so you get a Friday dinner covered to.
Can You Use Your Celebration Dinner Though?
According to the sheet they give you for redemption options you can use your $100 credit on buffets. But they do not list the buffet of buffets pass as an option. If you go to a Caesars Rewards desk they will also tell you that it can not be used on a buffet of buffets pass.
As we all know there are always ways around the system. Reader Patrick had boots on the ground last weekend and wanted to give it a try. We both researched it before his trip and the results looked very mixed online. The data points were scattered on both sides of the coin.
When he was in Vegas he went to the Caesars Rewards desk and asked if he could purchase the Buffet of Buffets Pass with his credit. They told him that it wasn’t an option. Patrick isn’t one to easily give up so he headed over to the buffet itself and asked to purchase the pass. You can purchase a buffet of buffets pass at the rewards desk or at one of the buffets.
He asked for a Buffet of Buffets pass and when he went to pay he asked to use his celebration dinner. They deducted the $100 without issue! I am guessing that they are used to redeeming them for standard buffet entry and didn’t think anything of it.
So there you have it, it is possible to use your Diamond Celebration dinner for a buffet of buffets pass if you buy it at the actual buffet. You may need to try a different location if you are denied at first but you should be able to get in with a little effort.
If you are doing the Buffet of Buffets pass yourself then I would sign up at the Bacchanal Buffet. Then you could add on the dinner for $35. Remember that your $100 must be used entirely or you lose it. Pairing the $35 add on with the $60 weekday price plus tax gets you over that mark. If you have two people then you can skip the add on. I asked Patrick if the add on was worth it and he said only if you are really hungry before.
Thanks again Patrick for being willing to give it a test run for us!
