New Chase Hyatt Offers

Chase has been toying with a few different offers programs over the past couple of months. Last November they rolled out Chase Offers which were available on Marriott and Chase Slate cards. Unfortunately that test didn’t last long and they ended that program back in March. They have also had numerous Chase Pay offers as well.

Now, it seems like Hyatt credit card holders are the beneficiaries of a new offers program. This card has often seen points rebate deals and the occasional spending offer, but this is something new. PDX Deals Guy just received the following email asking him to join a Hyatt offers program that for now runs through July 31, 2018.

Here is a sample of the more than a dozen offers on his account:

  • Lowe’s – Get $10 back on a $50+ purchase
  • HelloFresh – $15 back on a $50+ purchase
  • Boxed – $20 back on a $75+ purchase
  • Hulu – $20 back with a Hulu Live TV subscription
  • Etsy – $10 back on a $40+ purchase
  • Stubhub – $10 back on a $100+ purchase
  • Cinemark – $5 back with a $20+ purchase

There is a section to input your location, so it might be possible that these offers will vary by region. PDX Deals Guy tried a few different zip codes however and found the offers were the same no matter which location he chose.

Conclusion

Whenever a bank can add value to a card that you already carry it is a good thing. While these offers aren’t spectacular, the Lowe’s offer is nice (since they sell 3rd party gift cards) and some of the other offers are good as well. Either way I think Chase Hyatt Offers are another added benefit to a card that often rewards cardmembers beyond the normal published benefits and that is a good thing! 1. Hi,

I haven’t seen anything like for Amazon 20% off in my Hyatt offers. Do you have a link for it.

  2. on the Hyatt card, does the 2nd cardmember on the account (authorized card user) have the same offer, in other words, can I use the 10 off 50 at Lowe’s and can my authorized user use it himself again (using his authorized card)?

  3. Same with me, Chase verified I’m owed the credit & still nothing, kept waiting.

Chase has got to do better than this if they want a successful program. AMEX credits, in comparison, usually post very soon after the transaction. Ridiculous…

  4. I am still waiting on a $30 Hyatt credit from grocery spend in FEBRUARY! Chase has insisted via SM twice now that credits can take up to 2 billing cycles in which case I am completely unmotivated to do more of these.

    • You and me both. First I was told that it would take one billing cycle after February. This in spite of the fact that zillions of folks on FT were reporting that their credit came in day after hitting spend. So after that billing cycle passed, I called spoke to someone who went through my February statement, verified I’d hit the $300 spend, and said that they were putting it through some special sauce — that this CSR would call when it posted. Three weeks ago. No credit. No call.

      • Same here! Wondered if I was the only one who never received that credit for grocery spend. Mine was a $300 GC so that could have something to do with it.

That being said, I made a Boxed purchase today after signing up for this and received instant email notification that the offer had triggered.

  5. Thanks for the quick post. For Lowe’s, per the following, it looks we cannot buy the gift card in store. Is that really true?

$10 back on your in-store purchase of $50 or more. Valid for in-store purchase of $50 or more. Not valid on gift card purchases

    • It’s tough. I have seen similar terms for Lowe’s in-store offers where it worked to buy 3rd party gift cards. I suppose it is possible it won’t work if they are transmitting level 3 data, however in my past experience with other cashback offer programs it has worked.

    • GC worked for the past Chase offers with Marriott and Slate so I would bet that it does but it’s not guaranteed.
