Chase Sapphire Preferred Refer A Friend
As I wrote last month, both my wife and I picked up Chase Sapphire Preferred cards in our latest round of credit card applications. I really do love the Sapphire Preferred card, although I am not sure about its long term value. (You can find out more in my detailed review.)
With that said, there is no doubt that the sign up bonus of 40,000 Ultimate Rewards + 5,000 for adding an authorized user is very attractive. This really is one of the best cards for the miles & points newbie because of the flexibility of the points.
The Referral Offer
Through May 31, 2015 current Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders can refer up to 10 friends and earn 5,000 points per referral up to a total of 50,000 points. While you will earn 5,000 per referral, your friend will receive the normal public offer of 40,000 points after 4k in spend. No one loses.
Chase Sapphire Preferred Refer A Friend – How To
Here is how to use the Chase Sapphire Preferred Refer A Friend program:
1. Go to www.chasereferafriend.com
2. Enter in your last name, zip code and the last four digits of your Chase Sapphire Preferred card number. If you are not eligible then you will see the following screen. If you are eligible to refer people then you will see the screen as shown below for number 3.
3. You are now on the refer a friend referral screen. Here you must enter in your friend’s first name, last name and email address. Chase will send them the offer via email within 1 week.
4. Finally you will receive a confirmation that the emails will be sent. You can also share the offer on Twitter or Facebook which is much quicker since you can send the links to your friends right away. To get the Chase Sapphire Preferred refer a friend referral link, just click to share on Twitter or Facebook and then copy and paste the link from there into an email to your friend.
If you don’t currently have the Sapphire Preferred, I highly suggest reading my review to find out why I think it has one of the best sign-up bonuses around. If you are a current cardholder, Chase is willing to pay you to help them gain business.
Here is my personal referral link in case anyone wants to apply, but any current cardholder should be able to refer you as well. Enjoy!
