Chase Targeted Best Ever Offers
While on one hand Chase is cracking down on credit card churners with their infamous 5/24 rule, on the other they seem to be sending out very lucrative targeted card offers. Two offers are the best we have ever seen for their respective cards. Let’s take a look.
Sapphire Preferred 55K + 50K
The Offer: 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $4,000 in the first 3 months + 50,000 points after you spend $25,000 in the first year.
Analysis: This is very very very good offer if you get it. The way I see it, you earn a minimum of 3X Ultimate Rewards per dollar spent on your first $25,000 in addition to the normal 55K sign-up bonus. A no-brainer if you are targeted.
Southwest Business Premier 70K
Last year I covered the very rare public 60K sign-up bonus for this card, but it seems Chase has one-upped themselves with a 70K bonus.
The Offer: 70,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months.
Analysis: This is a pretty amazing deal considering the overall value of Southwest points and also that people who earn 110,000 points in a year get a companion pass. This deal gets you close and for those who struggle to get Chase cards these days, manufacturing the other 40K may be a better option than trying for a second Southwest card.
Things to Know
There really are only three things you need to know about these offers:
- They come with a unique code that is generally tied to the person and/or household the offer is sent to.
- They are the “best ever” offers I have seen on these cards.
- They may bypass the 5/24 rule. Many people who are over 5/24 have reported approvals when applying through similar targeted offers.
It is nice to see Chase upping their bonuses, even if only targeted customers get to benefit. Given my recent 5/24 denial for the Chase United card, I figure I won’t be seeing any of these offers, but hopefully many of you do.
Have you received either of these targeted offers or any other ones from Chase? Let us know in the comments!
