Conclusion

This is a decent sale from Delta. Remember that these often go longer than advertised and include more routes than are on the list.  I have my eyes on the Detroit to New Orleans and Nashville flights.  JFK probably has the best two deals of the bunch, Charleston and New Orleans for 13K is pretty great.

  1. Is it my imagination, or are some of Delta’s “sale prices” somewhere between bad and awful? SLC to Nashville for 30k doesn’t seem much of a bargain, but there have been lots worse in prior rounds.

    • I agree 100% – some of the prices are a slap in the face instead of a deal. Not sure who comes up with them. I am sure there is a mental game to it. I talked to a grocery store manager once who had a product that never sold at 33 cents but as soon as they put a 3 for $1 sale sign (actually more expensive) people would buy it. Doesn’t make sense but people like hearing sale I guess.
