Walt Disney World has announced new promotional room rates for Spring and Summer 2020.  Let’s check out the specific details.

Deal Info

Here are the different deals based on resort category:

  • Deluxe Resorts and Villas: Save up to 25%.  This category includes properties such as the Grand Floridian, Contemporary Resort, and Wilderness Lodge.
  • Moderate Resorts: Save up to 20%.  Properties like the Port Orleans Resort and the Fort Wilderness Cabins are in this category.
  • Value Resorts: Save up to 15%.  This category includes the Art of Animation Resort, the Pop Century Resort, and the All-Star Resorts.  Art of Animation Resort Suite discounts are up to 20%!

Key Terms

These rates are available for stays April 1st through September 12th for reservations  booked by February 26th.  Also, there may be a length of stay requirement in order to receive the promotional rate.  Additional charges may apply for rooms with more than two adults in all of the resort categories.  The amount of rooms available at the promotional rates are limited, so book ASAP!

Great Timing

With the unveiling of Rise of the Resistance in December, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge has fully opened.  Also, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opens on March 4th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  The 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will be held March 4th through June 1st, as well.  Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities during this promotional rate time frame!

Final Thoughts

Walt Disney World periodically advertises promotional rates, but visitors book up these rates quickly.  Disney reservations are generally cancellable, so consider booking even if your plans are not 100% solid.  Also, you can apply this promotion to existing reservations!  Be sure to update your existing reservations to obtain this excellent promotional rate.  Have fun!

  1. I found the rooms were around $15 more compared to last year, when I booked with the promotional rate that was released at this time of year. That seems like a steep price increase for one year.

    Also, I wish someone would do a piece on getting discounted Disney resort hotels through Priceline using Express Deals. I know Shawn Coomer recently posted about being able to get for $50 a night and I was wondering if that was a viable option for most people, is it risky that you may end up with a different hotel, would you not be able to do fastpass, etc.
