Hertz Top Tier Status Upgrade

Hertz Users: Earn Top Tier Status with Minimal Effort!

The Offer

Hertz Rent a Car is now offering a free upgrade from their Gold Plus status to their highest elite level, The Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President’s Plus. Once you upgrade, you will have President’s status for 12 months.

The Details

To take advantage, you’ll have to sign up here and use promo code 501032 . Make sure you translate the page to English, I could only find it in German. Once you translate, it’s easy enough to sign up.

You must sign up by 10/31/17 and status is good for 12 months.

Perks of the Program

  • Confirmed vehicle availability with a minimum 48 hour advance reservation.
  • Confirmed vehicle one-car-class upgrade
  • 25% bonus on Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Points.
  • 675 Rewards Points after every 15 qualifying rentals.
  • Includes all the benefits of Gold service. (This is their entry level status, so there’s not too much to be excited about here except that you get to skip the line and earn points for your rentals.)

Analysis

If you rent cars, this is a good deal for you. Normally you would have to complete 20 qualifying rentals a year to achieve this status and you’re getting all the perks for nothing, so that’s great. A 25% bonus on points earned goes a long way towards earning free rentals. For example, if you spend $200 on your rental, you would earn 250 points. Free days start at 550 points. Plus, you’ll get an extra 675 points after 15 rentals. Free money.

While there are discounts associated with this program, I would definitely look for a better discount code or deal when making your reservations. You should still earn the bonus on points earned, so you’ll get the best of both worlds.

Conclusion

Go for it if you ever rent cars. It’s a great option to have in your back pocket and it’s free!

  1. Whats the point of transferring it to Germany? I was able to successfully add the cdp on the regular site, will my status still be upgraded?

  2. We did the enrollment for new account for a friend on the German website using the CDP. Account created but no PC just regular Gold member. The CDP does show on the account. Guess we must wait for it to take effect.

    • Well, I hadn’t thought of it like that. I can definitely see what you’re saying. My thought on this type of thing, is that they’re offering you status because they want you to book with them. I actually think they probably intended to leave it open for everyone but they didn’t want to upset the people who earned Senator status. But, I could totally be wrong.

    • YES it does say that, but DOC reported that it’s working for everyone. Let me know if you try it 🙂
