PayPal Digital Gifts & 5X
PayPal Digital Gifts has a number of gift cards on sale today. Purchasing these cards should generate 5X Ultimate Rewards points if you pay with a Chase Ink Plus/Cash card through PayPal.
- $100 iTunes Code for $85- Limit 3
- $150 Lowe’s Gift Card for $130 – Limit 5 (This is a new deal so you are eligible even if you bought these cards previously.)

Other Gift Card Deals
The following deals are available from sellers other than PayPal Digital Gifts. They will not earn 5X, but can still be a good deal:
- $100 Hotels.com Gift Card For $90
- $100 Southwest Airlines Gift Card for $90
- $50 iTunes Gift Card for $42.50 –
- $90 GameStop ThinkGeek Gift Card, Get $10
Not As Good As Before
In the past, you would be able to also earn portal cashback and eBay Bucks while purchasing gift cards. Unfortunately those avenues have dried up. Some no longer pay out in the gift cards category and eBay Bucks are no longer earned when purchasing them.

Selling the Cards & My Experience
Depending on your bulk relationships you may be able to come close to breakeven on the Sears cards and should be able to make a little bit on the Lowe’s and iTunes cards. I purchased the Sears, iTunes $100 and Lowe’s deals for a total cost of $1,780. After selling them I should breakeven, but I will have earned 8,900 Ultimate Rewards points. Not bad.

We have seen a lot of good gift card sales on eBay lately. Perhaps now that they no longer give eBay Bucks, no longer pay through most portals and have generally gutted all that was good, we will see more of these deals. In the end it is a nice quick way to generate some points and if you shop at Sears, a 12.5% discount ain’t bad either.
