More For You & 500 Free Starpoints

Starwood is running their fourth quarter promotion called “More For You”. I detailed the promotion a while back, but as a refresher, here are the main points:

  • Double Starpoints on stays of two or more eligible nights
  • Triple Starpoints on eligible stays that include a Friday or Saturday night (Thursday or Friday night in the Middle East)

As you can see, it isn’t the best hotel promotion that we have seen, however it is better than nothing. Fortunately, SPG is also giving away 500 free Starpoints as well.

How To Get the Free Starpoints

To get the bonus, head over to the More For You registration page. There you will see details about the promotion along with the following, “Update your stay preferences on your spg.com profile to personalize your stay and earn 500 bonus Starpoints® from October 15 to December 15, 2014.”

In order to get the bonus, first register for the promotion on that page and then login to your Starwood Preferred Guest account. Once logged in, go to your profile and then scroll down to “My Stay Preferences”. Edit any one of the preferences in that section and you should have yourself 500 beautiful (and valuable) Starpoints within 2-4 weeks!
