HSBC, Get Up To $750 Checking Account Bonus Nationwide – Danny the Deal Guru

A decent bank bonus that is available nationwide but HSBC isn’t the easiest to deal with.  I do love myself some bank bonuses but I have stayed away from HSBC so far.  Let me know your experiences with HSBC in the comments section.

5 Great SPG Moment Packages for the Photographer – With Hotel- Running with Miles

I wonder if SPG Moments will be a thing of the past come August.  I hope not because they have offered some pretty cool things over the years including throwing the opening pitch at the World Series.  If you are a big time photographer then this offer some pretty cool experiences.

How I talked myself around on Chase ending pooled Ultimate Rewards Points – The Free-quent Flyer

Even people who usually go against the grain are starting to see this as a reality.  Some good points are made…I am not sure if Chase can afford not to make this change.  Hopefully we are all wrong but if we are not then make sure to prepare yourself.

House FAA bill would regulate airline seat size, ban voice calls – USA Today

Hopefully they get this right.  It is something that should be addressed for sure.  Seat pitch has dropped 35 inches to 31 since deregulation…it would probably continue to shrink too!

Times are Changing – Running with Miles

Running with Miles with the double link – nice work guys!  A good article talking about how points are becoming more cash based.  I agree with this and that is why I have said if you are diversified enough you should never pay cash for travel.  I have also said I don’t believe in minimum redemptions. With portals and everything else there is almost always a point that can make it a good redemption!
