Articles

Here are the articles for this edition:

The best auto loan rate you can get…with a catch – Miles per Day

I love it when people look at things in a different way and this is a good example of that.  I would have never thought to look at credit unions that give a big chunk of money back to their members.

China’s ‘Las Vegas’ is leaving billionaires behind in favor of the rising middle class — see inside the $3.4 billion mega-casino leading the charge – Business Insider

This place looks amazing and kind of puts Vegas to shame.  Maybe I can talk Shawn into a work retreat there or something :).  If you are in the mood for a Vegas visit though make sure to join us this May at Zork Fest!

This woman carried her in-flight snack off the plane and it cost her $500 – CNN

There has to be more to this story – I am guessing there was some unpleasant back and forth between her and the agent or something.  Either way it is ridiculous but she does need to know the rules.  Make sure you fill out those forms properly!

Water scooter gunmen shoot up beach in Cancun’s tourist zone – New York Post

This is a pretty insane story and this has to be the first drive by with a jet ski.  It sounds too much like a movie or video game to be real life.  Luckily no one was hurt. Cancun has been crazy of late.  If you are visiting soon – stay safe!

Wells Fargo fined $1 billion for insurance and mortgage abuses – CNN Money
The CFPB comes through for us again!  But I do find the results to be a bit underwhelming.  This is an institution that encouraged, maybe demanded, their employees to defraud their customers.  Until people start getting sent to jail for this stuff banks are going to continue to do whatever they want and pay the fees.  Because they are making money hand over fist along the way.  Don’t forget this is the same company who made fake accounts in their customers names to hit their numbers.
