GiftCardMall Reverts Back

This morning I wrote about the new GiftCardMall website. In addition to adding hundreds of new designs and overhauling their fee and shipping structures, the company instituted a new $250 limit on the purchase of Visa gift cards.
As hundreds of readers saw this morning, the website looked different and was overhauled. Well guess what. It has reverted back. As of 3PM PT on 6/10/2015, the website now acts like it did prior to today. All of those new designs are gone and what is left is what we saw previously.
My guess is that GiftCardMall is going to be rolling out their new website with all of those fancy designs and changes soon and maybe this morning was a test. I have no contact with the company, so cannot confirm if the $250 limit will come back or if this morning’s change was otherwise a test.
I also noticed this morning that both the Simon Gift Cards and Macerich Gift Cards sites through GiftCardMall were down. They both have made a reappearance as well, so who knows what is going on. All I can say is that for now we can just pretend that this morning didn’t happen.
What I Wouldn’t Do
If you were already planning on purchasing gift cards from GiftCardMall, you may want to go ahead with your purchase. (Top Cashback has the highest portal rates at .5% – Personal referral link) With that said, as described the other day, GiftCardMall has been cancelling many people’s orders and for larger purchases they will require you to fill out a form with more information.
Conclusion
For now we have a reprieve from whatever happened earlier. Considering the site that we saw this morning looked to be enhanced from the old site, I am guessing it is a new version that will be implemented soon. At least for today, you can still buy up to $500 Visa gift cards which will make many people happy.

Curious if anyone has any experience with “IncentiveCardLab” cards, the link is on the GiftCardMall page.
I investigated at one point but they appear to not have PINs and so were not helpful.
I’m not clear on the PIN thing with them either, reading through the T&C it says something in the Using The Cards section and referrers to using a PIN but with certain types of transactions.
No PIN according to the webpage.
How does the Visa Incentive Card work?
A Visa Incentive Card can be used wherever Visa debit cards, Interlink® cards and STAR® cards are accepted. To use the card at a point-of-sale terminal, simply select “credit” and sign the receipt. A Visa Incentive Card does not have a PIN, therefore, selecting “debit” will cause the card to be declined. Each time the Visa Incentive Card is used, the purchase amount is deducted from the available balance until that balance reaches zero. Once the entire card amount has been spent, it can no longer be used as a method of payment.
As of 8:00AM PT the site is selling the new cards, less $ amounts. boooooo

Again this evening GCM reverted BACK to no VGC’s over $250 and I kept getting a bad referral page from TopCashback as an added disappointment. Not sure even if I had purchased from GCM if I would have earned anything from the portal.

Does that link work with the portals? If not, pharmacy gcs make more sense.
maybe, maybe not. You might save a smidgeon at pharmacy, but you have to make trips, gas, time etc. You can easily put in orders for 5k or more from the bedroom 😉
At that price, it is worth it to me for meeting min spend and occasionally for MS (3% or greater CB cards like Discover IT Miles).
