GiftCardMall Visa Gift Cards – Almost Free

giftcardmall visa gift card deal
Look for this card when buying.

GiftCardMall is offering $2 off their Visa gift cards with the code LUCKY2016. First class shipping is also free which means the fee on a $500 card is only $3.95. Additionally, Simply Best Coupons is offering .0075 cashback, but it isn’t apparent if you can stack the two.

I don’t see any language excluding promo codes on the Simply Best Coupons website, however that doesn’t mean everything will go as planned. If you can stack the deals, the math works out like this.

  • Cost of $500 card: $503.95
  • Portal cashback: -$3.75
  • Final cost: $500.20

Warning: Some cards coming from GiftCardMall are issued by Metabank and are pin-enabled. Some come from Sunrise Bank and don’t have PINs. I am told if you search and order the Silver Visa Gift Card (that looks like the ones that comes from Staples) that you will get one with a PIN. I haven’t personally been able to test this out since GiftCardMall seems to cancel all of my orders. Hopefully you will have better luck.

New York Yankees® BankAmericard Cash Rewards™ MasterCard $200 Bonus

giftcardmall visa gift card deal

Bank of America has several (co-branded) versions of their Cash Rewards credit card. The normal sign-up bonus on these cards is $100 after $500 in spend during the first 3 months. Fortunately Doctor of Credit found a bonus that is twice as good. The only drawback is that it is a New York Yankees card which might upset some.

  • The Bonus: Earn $200 in cashback after $500 in spend during the first 90 days.
  • Annual Fee: $0
  • How to Maximize: Get 10% more if you transfer your cash rewards into a Bank of America checking account.
Merged Inquiries/Multiple Cards

Bank of America is known to combine credit inquiries if you apply for muliple cards on the same day. For example, last year I opened one of these cards during a similar $200 bonus along with an Alaska Airlines card. Both applications were done within minutes of each other and the inquiries were merged.

If you are interested in applying, here is the direct application link.

That is it for now. Have a great evening!

    • It is free first class shipping. If your order amount is too high it will make you pay for a higher level of shipping. On a single card order you can do free first class. It depends on how much security you want.

  1. 1st time placed an order for 3 abut 1 hr ago, but still shows pending… does it usually take a while for GM to review?

  2. Were they instant approvals or did you have to call? Also, not fond of the Yankees (Giant’s all the way!!) but it just gives me more motivation to convert them to better balance cards. 🙂

  3. Why does it matter if the gift cards are PIN enabled or not? Is there a benefit to having a PIN enabled card?

    • You can buy money orders with them or load them to various prepaid cards where you can then pay bills, etc. Without a PIN you can simply only use them for normal spending at a store that accepts Visas as credit cards.

      • Thanks for the explanation. Yet with all due respect for your effort, suddenly having $500 gift cards that can only be used for normal spend strikes me as something other than “simple” — anything but an efficient ms strategy. More like a nightmare. (unless I’m more confused than usual) Yet if I’ve got this right, it’s just too “risky” to even bother buying these cards without certainty of the product. (and it’s pin-enabling status)

        • ps, I appreciate your dilemma in not being able to check this out yourself. Nice too that you’ve been “told” by someone that the silver colored version will likely come with the pin. Well, maybe that was good enough for you to write the story, but…. doesn’t give much confidence to your readers. Let us know if you (or others here) encounter more of the proverbial data points “somewhere” confirming one way or the other…. I prefer to keep my gambling in the casinos….. ( 😉 )

          • I can only share what I am told. This is still a good deal for many (in my opinion) and I know people who make small test purchases to see how things work out. I wish that I could confirm the Silver card PIN thing, but I have tried so many times and I simply cannot get my orders to stick.

          • Escot,
I was the one that informed Shawn as to the Silver visa cards coming with a PIN. Not to sound harsh, but why don’t you just go out and try things for yourself instead of asking for more “data points”? No one is making anybody buy these and truth be told, I would have wish Shawn not divulged this information. But as far as I’m concerned, since my email to Shawn, I have placed more orders, got the same card every time. So the less people that do it, the better for me.
