New Hilton Hhonors Loyalty Promotion
Hilton has released their newest promotion which will run from August 1, 2014 until October 31, 2014. Like most of their recent promotions, this one is quite simple. Earn double Hhonors points on stays from Monday-Thursday and triple points for stays on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Just like last time, there is a huge list of excluded properties with this Hilton Hhonors promotion. I didn’t take the time to count, but the excluded properties list totals at least a couple of hundred and the vast majority of the excluded hotels are located in the United States.
Register & Terms
In order to earn the bonus points you must register for the promotion. Registering just takes a second and I highly recommend doing so even if you don’t have any upcoming Hilton stays. It never hurts to register just in case, since you may forget to if your plans suddenly change.
Here are the key terms (For the full terms see the registration page):
The offer (“Triple Your Trip”) is valid for eligible stays completed between August 1 and October 31, 2014 (“Promotion Period”) at any participating hotel or resort in the Hilton Portfolio Hilton HHonors™ members must first register at HHonors.com/Triple prior to check-out of your stay within the Promotion Period. Registered HHonors members will receive the bonus only for nights completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends.
This is another ho-hum promotion from Hilton. I most likely won’t be taking advantage of it since I have most of my upcoming stays promised to Hyatt. Even if I do stay in a Hilton property, it probably will be on points. With that said, I registered just in case.
While this isn’t the best promotion we have ever seen, it is an opportunity to earn bonus Hhonors points for upcoming stays. In my opinion a promotion like this isn’t enough to shift hotel stays to Hilton, but it doesn’t hurt if you are already loyal to their brand or plan to stay in one of their properties during the promotional period.
