Maximizing Offers
Let’s see how the math works out when combining these two offers with 5% cashback from BeFrugal.
Add items worth over $40 to your cart, and make sure that the total is over $50 with taxes and shipping. You will get a $20 discount through the Visa Checkout offer, leaving you with a charge of at least $30 on your Amex card. You will then receive a $10 statement credit through the Amex Offer, giving you a cost of $20. Add $1.50 (5%x$30) possible cashback from BeFrugal and you’ll end up paying $18.50 for an order of $50.
Conclusion
To maximize this offer you need to have an order close to $50. You will receive a nice discount by stacking these offers, but HSN usually has inflated prices, so make sure you’re still getting a good deal.
There seems to be some issues with the checkout process at HSN, so double check your final cost and keep an eye out for the charges that hit your Amex card.

Weird…Here’s my experience with this particular AMEX Offer:

Son had it on 1 of 1 card
Mom had it on 0 of 1 card
I don’t ever shop at HSN but I’m sure my wife will figure a way to take advantage of this on mine and my sons cards.

I have never been able to add an amex card to the visa checkout account because the website will only accept 3 digit for the security code. Any advice?
I have AMEX cc’s on it, but it seems that I’ve always had problems with what I thought was just the HSN Visa Checkout site.
