Increased In-Branch Offers for Citi Cards
Citi has a limited time promotion with two increased bonuses for the Citi Rewards+ and Double Cash cards. Both offers are available in branch only. Let’s take a look at each one.
For a limited time, customers can earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,500 within the first 3 months of account opening in addition to a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months. In addition, Citigold customers can earn 40,000 bonus after spending $2,000 within the first 3 months of account opening in addition to a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months.
As a reminder, the Citi Rewards+ Card is the only card that rounds up to the nearest 10 ThankYou Points on every purchase and provides cardmembers with 10% points back for the first 100,000 points redeemed per year. The card also offers 2 ThankYou Points for every $1 spent at supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 per year and then 1 point per $1 spent thereafter as well as 1 ThankYou Point for every $1 spent on all other purchases. Plus it has no annual fee.
Maybe Mark will change his mind with this new bonus?
For a limited time, customers can earn a $100 statement credit when they spend $500 in purchases in the first 3 months of account opening with the Citi Double Cash card in addition to a 0% intro on balance transfers for 18 months.
As a reminder, the Citi Double Cash card allows customers to earn 2% cash back, 1% when they buy and 1% when they pay and the card now allows cardmembers to convert cash rewards to ThankYou Points.
Two decent bonuses on both cards. Citi Rewards+ has a public bonus of 15,000 ThankYou points, so this new in-branch offer is twice as good. Double Cash doesn’t normally offer a sign up bonus, so now you can get $100 if you apply.
Maybe not the most enticing offers, but both cards have interesting features that make them stand out. Citi Rewards+ offer 10% points back for the first 100,000 ThankYou points redeemed per year and Double Cash offers 2% cashback on all purchases and then lets you transfer those rewards to ThankYou points.
